Create a Mirror Effect. |
This is an easy one to create. The hard part is finding a portrait image with a not too busy a background, as you will need to remove the right hand side. (That could be all or part - see below). |
For this exercise I Googled - "Images of Faces Looking at The Camera", as I need a full on camera face. |
1/. Find your image and take note of it's size. |
2/. File New Transparent - the same size as the original image. |
3/. Copy/Paste your original image to the new file. |
4/. Carefully remove the background on the right hand side.
After evaluating the second image of the girl, I decided to leave a small piece of blue sky at shoulder level, to make the join smoother. |
5/. Now File/New - four times the width of your original image, but the same height. |
6/. Copy/Paste the original image onto the new larger one. |
7/. Using the Move Tool place the image to the far right of the document. |
8/. Now Copy and Paste the edited image in and joint it with the original image. This will be in a new layer. Then repeat the Copy/Paste process three more times. This will create an additional three layers. |
9/. Using the move tool after selecting each layer, move the images in. What you now have is a well blended four up of the one image - all mirrored.
